    Description

    Essence Imperiale Russe empty 2 ounce splash cologne bottle, dates from the 1940s. The manufactuer was Lengyel.
    This brand had a fanciful ad campaign which claimed the cologne had been the favorite scent of Catherine the Great. The blue and white label is decorated with design features from her Coronation robe along with icons and stained glass windows found in the Coronation Chapel of the Czars. The bottle is 4-1/2” high and has an elaborate glass stopper in the shape of a crown. Its cork is intact. The label shows much wear.
