Description

This is the “Operation and Service Manual” for Alco Deisel-Electric and GE locomotives from 1949. This manual includes technical details for the following:
1500-HP Road Switcher
1500-HP Freight Locomotive (known as the “FA and FB”)
2000-HP Passenger Locomotive (the classic “PA-1 and PB-1”)
Unfortunately the book must have been sitting in the sunlight at some point in its history, hence the discoloration on the cover. Other than this, however, the manual is in very good condition. It has multiple fold outs showing various systems, plus schematics and drawings of the three locomotive types.
In the back are a few loose pages from the 1950 service manual.
This is a great resource for anyone trying to model these locomotives.
