    Description

This is a wonderful full-page color plate from a difficult to find children’s book that is over 70 years old. It depicts an Inuit Eskimo family. The children are departing on a sled dog ride, with a husky or malamute puppy dog in tow. Two polar bear cubs play on icebergs in the foreground. The adults and teenagers work on a kayak after returning from a walrus hut. Four inviting igloo homes loom in the background.
Imagine decorating your child’s room with this exiting print from your grandfather’s era! It has a blank back, meaning it was printed separately from the text for better quality and then tipped in or sewn into the book when it was bound.
It has very slight toning from age (yellowing), but the colors are still very bold and bright. It would look wonderful framed.
Note that the page size is approx. 9.75x12 inches and the actual image size (without margins) is approx. 9.25x11.25 inches (approx. 23.5x28.5 cm). The colors are more vibrant than this scan shows. There are two small tears in the margin and caption area of the picture, but they do not cross into the image area.
This is NOT a recent copy or modern reproduction, but a GENUINE antique item.
All prints are delivered in an archival sleeve and packed flat with heavy cardboard or rolled in a sturdy tube. I stand behind my products and offer a FULL REFUND if you think the product does not match the description in any way.
I will combine shipping on multiple purchases (charging only the single highest shipping cost).
