    Original 1916 Southern Pacific fold-out booklet of photographs titled
    Big Trees of California,
    printed more than 100 years ago.
    This booklet has 16 pages, each measuring a generous 9" x 11½", with a tan wraparound cover.
    Handsome sepia-tone photographs show off the majestic Sequoia trees of forests in California's Coast Range, including the
    Wawona, General Sherman, Old Goliath,
    and
    Two Sentinels
    near the hotel in Calaveras Grove.
    The
    Grizzly Giant
    gets special treatment in a double-page spread measuring 9" x 23½".
    The first page in the booklet gives some of the history of these giant trees, along with descriptions of railroad connections and auto stage tours of various groves. The final page has a Southern Pacific system map and list of agents.
