Item:
Sweet vintage Madame Alexander Alexander-Kins Little Women Meg doll in her original tagged outfit.
Manufacturing wording on doll's back reads: ALEX.
Doll is made of hard plastic. She's also a walker doll (head turns from side to side when doll's legs are moved back and forth). Walker mechanism works. Doll is jointed at head, shoulders, hips and has bending knees (which still work). She has sleep eyes (not sure of the color - to me, it looks like a gray shade) with black hard plastic eyelash ridges. Both eyes open / close fine and have the typical "flutter" action of Alexander-kins of this era. Her other facial features are painted (blondish brows, painted under lashes, cheek blush and closed red lips). She wears her original dark blonde wig with pink hair ribbon still attached.
Doll comes to you clad in her original outfit, which is tagged on interior of dress. Tag is white with red lettering and reads: Alexander-Kins / "Meg" / Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. N.Y. U.S.A.
Outfit includes: White apron  (aged to more of a tea tone) with lace trim - it fastens in back with 2 metal snaps (both intact / work) - Pink dress (fastens in back with 3 metal snaps, all intact / work), White petticoat (has elastic waist) with lace trim - Also aged to a tea tone - Matching pantaloons in white (also aged to tea tone) with elastic waist and lace trim - 1 Pair of Short white sox - 1 Pair of black shoes with brown paper soles. Shoes fasten with a strap and snap (all intact on both shoes).

Condition:
Doll and outfit in nice basic condition, but not perfect, as vintage  / previously owned, thus sold "as is".
DOLL - She has soiling from age / display. Facial features look good, as do eyelash ridges ( Her brows are faded though and her cheek blush is also somewhat faded. There's a little grayish rub on left eyelid (other lid looks fine). Eyes open / close fine and do their little "flutter" thing that dolls of this era do.
She has factory seams on head - there's a teensy bit of unevenness in seam on right side of head (at the bottom). Head sticks up somewhat on doll in back because she's a walker.
Wig is mussed and flattened from being stored away, with some "flyaway" strands. Bangs are uneven (looks to be a factory thing) & hair ribbon is flattened / faded.  There's a rubber band on back of hair - Not sure that this is original (likely not).
Walking mechanism works fine, as do bending knees. Doll has factory seams, there may possibly be a little factory sprue (bits of excess plastic) here and there and on fingers. All fingers & toes intact. Doll may have some minor scratches, scuffs or soiling on her hard plastic. She can't stand on her own (needs a doll stand for that, which isn't included).
No perfume, air freshener or smoke scents.
OUTFIT - Garments all have soiling from age, white garments have aged to a sort of tea tone. All clothing wrinkled with loose hanging threads, there may be some fraying here and there. Elastic on petticoat very stretched out. Elastic on pantaloons also stretched out some. Sox look good. Shoes have some wear and loose hanging threads or bits sticking out. Soles have wear / fading / color mottling or stains. May be tarnish on metal snaps. No perfume, air freshener or smoke scents.
