Vintage Barbie OOAK FRIDAY NITE DATE JUMPER in SUNFLOWER w FUNKY FOLK ART - FUN!

I am pleased to offer this OOAK vintage item

the jumper - -- nothing else)
-- a Friday Nite Date corduroy jumper that I found in really sad condition -- dirty, faded, almost no appliques (but good snaps and tagged). I have turned it into a whimsical true one of a kind piece.Rather than try to make it look like a Mattel original, I made folk art by turning it sunflower gold adding all sorts of goo gahs -- glitter, ribbon, sequin, terrycloth, feathers, and several new satin flowers custom dyed for this piece -- plus a couple of real vintage Mattel bits as a nod to the original (the bird house sits on a post made from Evening Splendour material, one yellow and one pink original applique, and the "hole" in the bird house is a teeny bit of velvet from a Guinevere gown). In place of the original felt bluebird, a hot pink and red feather "bird" with sapphire glitter "eye" flies by. I will include this vintage felt hat with paper forget-me-nots. As for the corduroy -- t
he fabric was in such poor condition that it took my dye very unevenly -- some areas were almost white (I tried twice, same result!). After listing it that way, I pulled it down to tinker some more. Looking at the bit of vintage doll fabric I used for the roof of the bird house, I decided to add multicolored blooms of color where the gold dye didn't take. These pink, blue, and tangerine clusters look like balloons on the front and poppies on the back. I put a couple of teeny clusters on the bodice. Overall look is a little like tie dye or desert wild flowers. I had fun going over the top and hope someone will enjoy it on their own doll!
I am a hobbyist, not a professional, so you should expect exactly what you see -- a unique, pretty item -- and not something with stunning tailoring and perfection.
