Vintage Green Taka Cola Soda Bottles - Original and Ground Style
Interesting story, Taka Cola of Virginia (Norfolk I think), about 1910s, was sued by Coca Cola for copying their style of glass bottle.
They were 8 sided bottles with Taka Cola embossed on every other side.
Coca Cola won, about 1917 I think.
Taka Cola was forced to ground their name off the bottles.
Here is an original and one with the ground sides, you can make out part of the T on one of the sides.
The original has a crack in it, I pictured it.  The ground one some chips and scratches.
Nice story, nice examples of history.
